Death

AN EYE OPENER !!
TIME
YOUR MOST PRECIOUS RESOURCE

When the angel of death came to Joe Smith, to accompany him to his real home, Joe dismissively responded “I am not ready to die as I have so much left to do.
Do you mind coming back later?”

The Angel replied, sorry your time is up and we must leave now.

Joe enquired, “don’t you know who I am? I am Joe Smith, one of the richest men in the world.

The Angel nodded “I know all about you as I do everyone else; now hurry along, Let’s go.”

Joe pleaded; “if I were to give you 10% of my fortune, which is over a billion dollars, will you turn a blind eye and return a year later?”

The Angel shook his head and replied, “you don’t seem to understand Joe. It is time to go”

For the next few moments, Joe tried his best to negotiate with the angel giving away more of his fortune for lesser time. He finally succumbed and offered
“if I were to give you all my fortune, which is 10 billion dollars, will you give me 5 minutes so that I can call my wife and children and tell them that I love them?
I have never told them this and it is very important to me that they know how I feel about them. I also need to seek forgiveness from
2 people that I have hurt the most. All I ask is 5 minutes!”

The Angel paused and looked at Joe curiously and asked, “how long did it take you to make your 10 billion dollars?”

Joe replied, “30 years my friend – it took me a whole 30 years – it’s a great deal in exchange for 5 minutes, take it – you will never have to work another day in your life. “

The Angel shook his head and said “I really do not understand you human beings! If you are willing to give up 30 years of your lives’ work for 5 minutes, then
why did you not make the most of every minute while you had it? How did you value your time? Where were your priorities? Why did you not say or do the things
 that really mattered?”

The lights went off a second later, Joe was gone. His 10 billion dollars could not buy him the time to do what really mattered.

IMPORTANCE OF WALKING

Walking can add minutes to your life.
This enables you at 85 years old
To spend an additional 5 months in a nursing
Home at $7000 per month.

My grandpa started walking
Five miles a day when he was 60.
Now he's 97 years old
And we don't know where he is.

I like long walks,
Especially when they are taken
By people who annoy me.

The only reason I would take up walking
Is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.

I have to walk early in the morning,
Before my brain figures out what I'm doing..

I joined a health club last year,
Spent about 400 bucks.
Haven't lost a pound.
Apparently you have to go there.

Every time I hear the dirty word 'exercise',
I wash my mouth out with chocolate.

The advantage of exercising every day
Is so when you die, they'll say,
'Well, she looks good doesn't she.'

If you are going to try cross-country skiing,
Start with a small country.

I know I got a lot of exercise
The last few years,......
Just getting over the hill.

We all get heavier as we get older,
Because there's a lot more information in our heads.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

AND

Every time I start thinking too much
About how I look,
I just find a Happy Hour
And by the time I leave,
I look just fine.

You could run this over to your friends But just e-mail it to them

If you don't forward this to 1 of your friends your belly button will unscrew and your butt will fall off.
Really.... It's true

Golden age' of antibiotics 'set to end

Far fewer pharmaceutical companies are working on new antibiotics than in the past

We cannot say we weren't warned. The growing threat of antibiotic resistant organisms is once again in the spotlight.
Prof Jeremy Farrar, the new head of Britain's biggest medical research charity the Wellcome Trust said it was a "truly global issue".
In his first major interview since taking up his post, Prof Farrar told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that the golden age of antibiotics

could come to an end unless action is taken.
His comments echo those of England's Chief Medical Officer Dame Sally Davies.
Last year she described the growing resistance to antibiotics as a "ticking time bomb", and said the danger should be ranked alongside
errorism
on a list of threats to the nation.
Previous chief medical officers have also warned about the threat from pathogens - bacteria, viruses and parasites.
And G8 science ministers in London discussed the danger from drug resistant infectious agents when they met in June 2013.
'Older than humanity'
But the warnings actually started many years ago.
In 1998 a House of Lords report gave this stark assessment: "Antibiotic resistance threatens mankind with the prospect of a return to
 the pre-antibiotic era."
Most of us were born into a world containing antibiotics, so it is easy to feel they are permanent fixtures in the arsenal of medicines.
In fact penicillin did not go into widespread use until the 1950s.
You can visit Sir Alexander Fleming's tiny laboratory at St Mary's hospital in London where he made the discovery in 1928.
But whereas antibiotics have been around for less than a century, infectious agents are older than humanity, and are continually evolving.
Two bacterial infections illustrate the problem.
Multi-drug resistant (MDR) tuberculosis is rising steadily worldwide.
The incidence of different forms of drug resistant TB is on the rise
Doctors in London have reported a sharp rise in cases of MDR TB, which can take two years to treat successfully.
That is bad enough, but there are now strains which are even worse.
Five years ago, I reported from South Africa on the growing threat of Extremely Drug Resistant (XDR) TB, which, as the name sounds,
 is virtually untreatable.
Again this illustrates that these public health threats don't spring up overnight; the warning signs emerge over a long period.
Another example is the rise in infections from enterobacteriaceae - bugs that live in the gut like E.coli and Klebsiella.
They are now the commonest cause of hospital acquired infection and some are becoming resistant to carbapenems, a powerful,

last resort group of antibiotics.
There has also been an alarming increase in rates of the sexually transmitted disease gonorrhoea, which is becoming more difficult to treat.
Prof Farrar said we could have used our antibiotics better and we should have invested more in research on infectious diseases.
He said there are just four pharmaceutical companies working on antibiotics now compared to 20 years ago.
And Prof Farrar called for industry to be given incentives to work on antibiotics and greater restrictions placed on access to these medicines.
The World Health Assembly of the WHO will discuss the issue in May.

With all the talk about iOS 7 and fake jailbreak acclamations being made. A lot of people are becoming very anxious in the jailbreak community for a new jailbreak. A new software comes out, people want the software but do not want to lose their jailbreak. But, in the end they end up updating, losing their jailbreak, then begging developers to release a new one. Recently with the release of iOS 6.1.3 and the iOS 7 betas. Lots of controversy has come up with people claiming to have a jailbreak. Right now the only iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak out is in this tutorial, and it is “Semi-Untethered”. There are no iOS 7 jailbreaks, and definitely no iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 untethered jailbreaks. New Tweak Fixes Your Broken Status Bar After Jailbreaking [Jailbreak]

A large number of users have reported issues with a problematic status bar in iOS immediately following a jailbreak.

While it’s hardly the biggest issue for a liberated iOS device to encounter, having the carrier name, signal status and remaining battery turn from white to black — or sometimes not vanish when it’s supposed to — while using certain apps can be both annoying and overall detrimental to user experience. Thanks to a straightforward resolution , however, that issue can now be sorted out in the form of a Cydia package installation by following these steps: >Step 1: Launch the Cydia app and wait for packages to refresh. Navigate to the “Manage” tab from the bottom bar.

Step 2: Select “Sources” from the main interface.

Step 3: Select “Edit” and then “Add” from the top left hand corner of the navigation bar.

Step 4: In the resulting popup add the URL of the repository that hosts the package to fix the issue: http://repo.pnre.co.vu

Step 5: Select “Add Source” from the Cydia/APT URL alert and wait for the packages to refresh.

Step 6: Select the “Search” tab from bottom bar and search for “StatusBarFix2.” Install the packagelike any other Cydia tweak.

While it goes without saying that users would rather not have to go through this kind of thing, it’s inevitable that as devices become complex — and Apple goes further and further to try and prevent jailbreaking — minor issues like this will continue to occur.

Hey, freedom’s never easy to achieve.
